The tool is used to fit or remove an electric bulb located in a relatively inaccessible position, such as for example a high ceiling. The tool consists of a long pole made from a hollow tube with a socket at one end. It forms an integral part of a smaller diameter socket. The ends of another socket is located inside the socket. The socket has a circular outwardly tapering collar, which is clamped by a bush to the lower end of another threaded socket with a circular collar. The outside of the tool is surrounded by a jacket made from an elastic material.
