<p>The light cover for the car light has a raster on its outer surface to collimate the light for the lenses, and to separate the different light areas in a lamp cluster. The cover material is profiled on its inner surface into a pattern of lenses coincident with the raster, so that all the light is focussed through the raster spacing. The raster does not block any light, resulting in a more efficient lamp and brighter signal. A two dimensional raster can be used, with a matrix of profiled holes, and with the light concentrated through the holes.</p> |
