The double or multi screw drive is for water craft, esp. amphibious craft. Two or more propellors (16) and their direct drive elements (17, 21) are positioned in vertical or parallel planes, or planes extending parallel to the longitudinal craft axis, on the craft so as to be turnable through 180 deg. All propellors have turning elements (24, 25) which may be actuated together or separately. Alternatively, the propellors may be turnable through 360 deg. The drive unit may be positioned in the bow, the stern, or midships. Propellors and drive elements have bearing housings (18), which are turnably retained, directly or indirectly, on the craft, via side shaft ends (19). The turning elements are in drive connection with the shaft ends. |
