High and medium voltage monitor - has disc antenna test electrode inside concentric screen and connected to amplifier input for remote applied voltage testing

The voltage monitoring device for high and medium voltage installations, with an indicating device controlled from an electronic amplifier and a test electrode connected to the amplifier input is designed to determine whether a conductor has a voltage applied to it or not from a distance. The test electrode is formed as a disc antenna (8) inside a concentric surrounding screen (10, 11). The electrode and the screen can be moved w.r.t. each other axially. The screen is an extendable two-part telescopic tube. The upper part (11) screens the antenna and the lower part (10) contains the amplifier and indicating device (5, 6).
