The myoelectric control circuit for proportionally controlled electrically actuated artificial limbs, partic. hand prostheses, comprises a current source to which the drive motor for the limb is connected for the period of its activity. A DC voltage proportional to the myovoltage is super-imposed on a sawtooth voltage of constant pulse height and pulse train frequency, and the portions of this sum voltage beyond a constant threshold value effect connection of the drive motor to the current source. The resulting control circuit allows reliable proportional control of the drive motor of a prosthesis, with an extensive reduction in energy losses.
|
