Terminal block for switching plant - has fastening elements with recesses attachable to both symmetrical and asymmetrical supporting bars

The terminal block has an insulating body (1), a metal clamping element (2) in a body recess, and a metal base (7) for fastening on a supporting bar. The terminal clamping element and the base are electrically connected with each other. The base consists of two fastening elements and a locking screw. The fastening elements have inward facing recess for outer projection of the supporting bar. One of the fastening elements is stationary wrt the terminal body and the other is movable, operated by the locking screw. The fastening elements (10, 11) have, in addition to the recess for outer projections (9) of the symmetrical supporting bar (5), a recess (14) directed outward for projections directed inwards of an asymmetrical supporting bar.
