The wall interior is connected to a space which by temp. variation transforms the gas in the pores of the filler into a non-gaseous state. - More specifically the vacuum compartment (3) enclosed by the double walls (1,2) is connected to a hollow body (4). This body is cooled by a heat sink to a temp. below the boiling point of the gas in the vacuum compartment (3) for the desired low absolute pressure. After the gas has been freezed out, the connection between the compartment (3) and the body (4) is squeezed closed. Mg, Ba, Zr, or Ti or their alloys are used as getter materials. The chemically reactive gases employed are O2, CO2, CO2 or SO2. |
