<p>Sockets, embedded in a concrete base, take metal ribs, which join at a collar at the central, highest, point of the house. A plastic dome is sealed to the floor, then inflated to the form defined by the ribs; a telescopic mast supports the central collar. The dome is then sprayed with a thin coat of resin and rapid-hardening cement, followed by several sprayed coats of polystyrene concrete, variously mixed, and finally, and outer coat consisting mainly of cement. The dome remains in place, and forms the interior wall finish.</p> |
