The disc-type stator is firmly mounted on the shaft, and the annular rotating bearing housing is supported on two bearings, and in turn supports the disc-type annular rotor. One of the bearings is situated near the air-gap, in a radial plane passing through the annular rotor. The other bearing is situated at the other end of the bearing housing. The main bearing (21) supporting the axial forces is situated at the far end of the housing (9), and the bearing not supporting the axial forces is situated at the housing end near the air-gap.
