1451872 Multi-compartmented packages E I DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO 7 Jan 1974 [19 Nov 1973] 00673/74 Addition to 1446007 Heading B8C A tubular multi-compartmented package has the compartments separated from one another by a frangible diaphragm which is sealed to the internal surface of the package by a single continuous longitudinal seal. The package may be formed as in Specification 1,446,007 in which a web is formed into a tube with the longitudinal edges overlapping with the inner ply forming the diaphragm, except that the continuous seal between the inner edge of the diaphragm and the surrounding tube is omitted. The inner edge may merely seat against the tube, and if the resin components in the two compartments on either side of the diagram come into contact adjacent the edge, the components may set into a barrier. Alternatively there may be a discontinuous seal between the inner edge and the tube. |
