PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly detect the abnormality of an electrolytic capacitor in the printing apparatus.SOLUTION: The printing apparatus includes: a circuit board; the electrolytic capacitor provided on the circuit board; a temperature detection element provided on the circuit board to detect temperature; and transistors provided on the circuit board to be used to drive the head. The temperature detection element is arranged closer to the electrolytic capacitor from the transistors, and the abnormality of the electrolytic capacitor is detected on the basis of the output value of the temperature detection element, then, the drive of the head by means of the transistors is stopped. |
