<p>1527278 Rotary conveyers DR CARL HAHN GmbH 13 Oct 1976 [15 Oct 1975] 42542/76 Heading B8A An apparatus for receiving a cylindrical workpiece, e.g. a tampon from a first station (Fig. 2) by axial displacement of said piece and for axially displacing said piece into a second station (Fig. 3), comprises a transfer element 21 extending substantially in one main plane, movable in said plane, and having a plurality of openings 78 theretheough, the openings having an inner perimeter; bushes 22 for receiving the workpiece, mounted within said openings for movement with the transfer element 21 and with their axes transverse to said main plane; means for moving each of the bushes 22 into approximate axial alignment with said first station for receiving a workpiece, and for moving the bushes into an approximate axial alignment with the second station (Fig. 4) for discharging the workpiece; the bushes being floatingly mounted within said openings so as to be able to move in both the axial and radial direction to compensate for errors in said alignment.</p> |
