The TV receiver with a tuner has two counters, the latter of which is coupled to a wave band changeover signal generator. A tuning selector circuit and the wave band changeover signal generator are connected to a number of inputs of the tuning circuit. The tuning selector (19) is connected to the output circuit (75-77) of the second counting circuit. The second counting circuit acts as a memory for the tuning selection. The first counting circuit (31) is free running and has a first counter (39) with a number of outputs (41-43) which are connected to the input of a first decoding circuit (49).
