MANUFACTURE OF DECORATIVE SHEET

PURPOSE:To form a thick opaque pigment layer in a recessed section, and to obtain a glossy glazed designed decorative sheet, on which the foundation color of a paper-like article appears and a protruding section of which is embossed, easily by disposing the paper-like article, which is impregnated with a resin liquid and on a surface of which a pigment is attached, of a B stage onto a substrate and thermocompression-bonding the paper-like article through a rubber-like elastic body from an upper section. CONSTITUTION:A thin-sheet 1 is impregnated with a resin liquid, into which a coloring inorganic pigment 4 is dispersed, and dried up to a B stage under the state in which the pigment 4 is attached onto the surface of the thin-sheet 1. The impregnated thin-sheet 1 is arranged onto a substrate 2, a surface of which is formed in an irregular shape, and thermocompression- bonded through a rubber-like elastic body 3. The pigment 4 on the surface is pushed by the rubber-like elastic body 4 and moved and flowed into the recessed sections 6 of the substrate 2, and thick opaque pigment 4 layers are formed in the recessed sections 6. On the other hand, protruding sections 5 are pushed by the rubber-like elastic body 3 and the layer of the pigment 4 is thinned extremely and approximately made transparent, the foundation color of the thin-sheet 1 appears and light and shade density are generated delicately in the color of the pigment 4. When the pigment is thermoset under the state, a tile-like glazed designed decorative sheet, in which irregular patterns and designs completely coincide and which abounds in a gloss, can be manufactured.
