Lubricants for photographic film, recording tapes, records, etc. - contg. tetrafluorethyl telomer and fluorinated copolymer

Lubricants contg. a mixt. of (A) a copolymer of trifluorochloroethylene and vinylidene fluoride, (B) a tetrafluoroethylene telomer and (C) a solvent for the copolymer and the telomer. The solvent is a halogenated aliphatic hydrocarbon, pref. trichlorotrifluoro ethane, content of (A) is >=0.005 (0.02) wt. % and of (B) >=0.01 (0.1) wt. %. Used for lubrication of recording substrates, photographic film, magnetic substrates (e.g. sound and video recording tapes), gramophone records, etc. An abrasion and wear-resistant coating is obtd., with lower friction than by use of (A) or (B) alone. Clarity on photographic film is very good.
