The domestic oven has a time switch (3) mounted in a protective housing (1) which has an opening at the front into which fits a set of sealing strips (7) which locate the shell of the switch. These strips are resilient and having locking lugs (8) projecting from them which fit into corresponding openings in the shell (3'). These strips include an external groove to receive the edge (6) of the opening in the housing (11) and have a locating lip (5) which hangs down over the edge of the transparent front cover (10) of the switch. The outside of these strips slopes inwards. The strips can enclose latch fingers which hook onto the outside of the switch shell.
