PURPOSE:To obtain an aqueous preparation capable of compounding a drug which is incompatible in conventional prescription and exhibiting sufficient antiseptic action, by adding an antiseptic agent consisting of a benzalkonium chloride having alkyl group containing specific number of C atoms. CONSTITUTION:The 12C benzalkonium chloride is used as an antiseptic agent for an aqueous preparation. The use of said compound enables the compounding of a carboxyl-containing compound (e.g., sodium hyaluronate), a compound having sulfonic acid group (e.g., sodium chondroitin sulfate), a compound having sulfonyl group (e.g., flavine adenine dinucleotide), pilocarpine hydrochloride, etc. The compound of formula is used at a concentration of 0.001-0.05%. |
