The sealing joint for use in carpentry or joinery has two walls (5, 6) together forming a straight L-section piece. Two flexible lips (10, 11) are fixed near the apex and on the outside of the L, one of them fitting in a channel (9), formed by bending over the end of one arm of the L. Bending can be carried out to form a straight U-section at the base of this arm and on the outside. This inside of the same arm can be coated with adhesive material covered by a tear-off protective strip (4). The joint can be formed by drawing from a die. It can be fixed in place on the corner of a piece of joinery etc. by the adhesive and finally secured by hooks or points on the wall covered by the lip fitting in the channel. The second lip forms the seal, being compressed against the moving portion.
|
