Combination of materials covered with a protective layer based on Si3N4, for mfr. of ceramic mouldings is claimed in which the base material is commercially available Si3N4, and this is provided with a compact layer adhering well to the substrate without reacting with it, of the same or similar nature to the base material. Used for mobile and fixed parts of a gas turbine. The material has a high creep strength, while the coating is highly adherent under creep stresses.
