A wall panel for prefabricated housing comprises an upper horizontal frame member, an outside vertical frame member, and a pair of wall plates. The upper horizontal frame member is arranged perpendicular to the outside vertical frame member with the upper end of the vertical frame member separated by a predetermined spacing from the end of the horizontal frame member adjacent to said upper end. These two frame members are disposed between the two parallel wall plates. At an upper corner of the wall panel there is formed that joint for receiving a horizontal member which is defined by the adjacent ends of the frame members or the upper end of the vertical frame member and a reinforcement disposed between said adjacent ends, and one or both of the wall plates, thereby eliminating the provision of the joint in the wall panel in the construction location. |
