The deck crane may be moved from one position to another on the deck by lifting it by means of the slings (E). The crane has an integral vertical pillar (2) which terminates at the ring (4). The pillar rests on the support (2) which is permanently mounted on to the deck (P). The joint of the two components at (4) consists of a skirt on the crane with an internal flange which rests on the fixed lower pillar. The two portions are locked together by horizontal bolts in the outer portion which engage in a groove in the inner portion.
