<p>The cap (1) has a top (2) encircled by a short skirt (3) with a rounded edge (4) which projects slightly from the skirt. The top has a central part (2a) which is pressed inwards and leaves an annular recess (2b) arond the circumference which is filled with a plastic joint material to ensure the airtightness of the cap. The cap is fixed to the neck of a glass bottle, which has a raised collar (6a), in a press (7) which consists of a pressure plate (8) held against the cap by a spring (11) and a cover with crenels (12) which secure the cap to the bottle by pressing in parts of the rounded edge.</p> |
