Enhancer film for fluoroscopic, esp. X-ray photophraphic material, has a layer contg. a fluorescent phosphor (I) stimulated by X-rays and a layer contg. a phosphor (II) stimulated by the light of the first layer. (I) is a blue-emitting rare earth phosphor. (II) is a yellow-fluorescing daylight phosphorescent pigment, which is in a layer transparent to (part of) the short-wave portion of the blue light emitted by (I). Specifically (I) is La oxybromide (Ia) and/or Y oxysulphide (Ib) and is in the layer next to the substrate. (II) is auramine (IIa) or acridine yellow (IIb) and is present in a protective coating on the layer contg. (I). The graininess of the image is reduced.
