Prodn. of vaccine against vibriosis in fish - by inactivating a culture of Vibrio anguillarum
摘要

Prodn. comprises first selecting the relevant strain of Vibrio anguillarum (immunogenic serotype A, B or C) with a minimum haemolysin titre of 1:160 (as determined after culturing for several days in a medium contg. casein and peptone). This strain is cultured at 20-30 degrees C in a casein hydrolysate medium contg. 3% dextrose while stirring at 230 r.p.m. and aerating at 601 of sterile air per hour. The culture is thermally or chemically inactivated and the resulting suspension is centrifuged to produce an antigen concentrate, which is then prepd. by administration. The vaccine is esp. useful for protecting eels and trout against vibriosis in fish farms.
