<p>Large string musical instruments, such as Cellos, are produced with a detachable neck section that is packed away within the body section for ease of transport. The hollow boxy (12) has a mounting bracket located on the top surface (9) that provides a dowelled location and screwed fixing for the detachable neck section (2). The bottom end (10) is produced as a sliding member that may be removed to give access to the inside of the body. The neck section together with bridge (5) and string mounting block (4) are all placed in a moulded foam block that is located within the body section. The cover is replaced and unit easily transported.</p> |
