<p>The twin axle assembly is for use in cross country vehicles. Two assemblies, each of two wheels, are supported on an equaliser (3) on a pivot (4) supported on the vehicle chassis. Each wheel turns on a shaft (5) on one end of the equaliser. The mounting of each shaft (5) includes a swivel assembly with an eye (6) and a ball (7), and an eye (8) and threaded rod (9). The two eyes each have a rod passing through them and the ball (7) is used in the shaft (5). The arrangement gives a large degree for swivelling of the shafts relative to each other in two planes.</p> |
