<p>The system is for polishing link chains, or small components handled in batches such as needles, the components being delivered into a rotary casing. During the polishing operation the workpieces are held inside a rotary toroidal casing (4), open along an annular band towards its geometrical axis (X-X). The workpieces are inserted and retracted via this annular opening, both during continuous and discontinuous treatment, e.g. for link chains and batches of components respectively. The casing can be toroidal with a radial C-section, the opening of which is towards the geometrical axis (X-X), which is also the horizontal axis round which the casing rotates. The section is similar to that of a pneumatic vehicle tyre.</p> |
