<p>Rubber or plastic corrugated hose without wire inlay comprises outwardly directed corrugations of parabolic cross-section, while the inner wall of the sections between corrugations is cylindrical. The wall thickness of the corrugations may be uniform, at 10-30% greater at their peaks than their arms. Pref. the outer walls of the sections between corrugations are concave in cross-section, and the wall thickness in the region of these sections is 20-40% greater than in the region of the arms of the corrugations. Method for mfg. the hose is performed by helically winding a rubber profile onto a cylindrical core, then applying a crude rubber layer which is engaged between the projections formed by the rubber profile, and vulcanised.</p> |
