<p>1527654 Microprocessor controlled machine tool HURCO MFG CO Inc 10 March 1976 [14 March 1975] 9539/76 Heading G3N A microprocessor controls a machine tool, e.g. a press brake 11 for bending. The press brake 11, Fig. 1 has a bed 12, an hydraulically or mechanically driven ram 13, side frames 14, a back gauge 16 and a front gauge 18 by lower die 17. Both gauges are driven by linear lead screws driven by servo controlled electric motors 19. A pendant control cabinet 22 is swivel mounted to the brake and is used to control the brake. The pendant 22 Fig. 3 has power switch 38, keylock switch 39 for English or metric dimensions, and LED displays 41, 42, 43. Also provided are a four position mode switch 46, ram function buttons 47, data entry buttons 48, miscellaneous function buttons 49, and illuminatable display buttons 44. This pendant enables the operator to enter the desired data for bending operations. The microprocessor Fig. 6, (not shown) is of conventional type and is situated in the pendant.</p> |
