A ridged roof with glazed triangular upper parts has trough shaped members (2) at the bottom, supporting the framework (1) carrying the glazing. Each trough is made of an outer sheet (3) and an inner sheet (4), bent into the required trough shape, with a space between. The trough is supported by a member (5) matching the shape of this space, made from angle iron, suitable cut, bent and welded. The whole can then be supported by channels (15) etc. below. The open ends (7) are then closed by channel sections (10) welded between the sheets. The ends (7') of the outer sheet (3) extend beyond these channels so as to form anchorages for the glazing supporting framework. Insulation (14) is placed in the space between the angle iron supports.
|
