A hollow rectangular vessel (1) is made from two rectangular plates spaced apart and welded together. The vessel is supported above the hearth at an angle to the vertical path of the flames and got gases and in front of the back (6) of the chimney. It is equipped with a water flow pipe (2) and a return pipe (3) and the central heating water is circulated through it. The vessel is heated by direct contact with flames rising from the hearth to make maximum possible use of the calorific value of the fuel.
