<p>Piezoelectric igniter used for ignition of gas burners, has housing with piezoelectric crystal and metal percussion pin. The crystal rests against an anvil block while hit by percussion pin. The piezoelectric crystal (3) is held in a metal plug (5) fastened in housing (1). This plug acts also as an anvil block and an electrical connection. The plug (5) can be fastened by circumferential ridges (5a) into grooves in housing. Alternatively the plug can also be screwed into housing (1). The plug has an end plate (5b) for covering housing end.</p> |
