The window for vehicles is provided with a rigid frame (2, 3) which can be inserted into the wall of the vehicle and is made of metal or plastic. This frame (2, 3) has a stop leg for the window pane which is held by means of an elastic profile strip (7) which engages in a groove of the frame and is made of rubber-elastic material. For the purpose of attachment to the vehicle wall (1), the rigid frame (2, 3) has a further elastic profile strip (13) which engages around the said frame. This profile strip (13) is stiffened by means of an expansion wedge band (14) inserted into it. In comparison with known windows which are bolted or riveted into the outer wall of the wagon and in which the bolts have to be sealed and covered by means of a rubber sealing strip, this window has the advantage of a low degree of work expenditure for its installation. <IMAGE> |
