Filled casting resin for mfr. of mouldings - for telecommunication cables and/or fitting whose filler particles enclose a density-equalising medium

The filler particles which have a density QF enclose a medium of density QM such that the density QT of the resulting composite filler particle is equal to the density QG of the casting resin. Pref. the filler particles have a cavity into which the medium (density QM) is introduced as a gas, liq. or solid. The cavity itself may be under a vacuum and may thus act as medium with density QM. The filler particles may be solid with profiled surface. They may be made of glass, plastics or metal, in powder or fibre form. Used e.g., for mfr. of tightly sealing plugs for cables and other cast fittings. The density of the composite filler and that of he resin is practically the same, so that the filler remains evenly distributed throughout the resinous mass whilst the same is still liq. before hardening.
