The folded box is mechanically erected, comprising a single sheet of cardboard with four sidewalls in line and a lengthwise flap for gluing two adjacent ones together, also top and bottom flaps and an insert section for items such as tubes or bottles. The insert section (10) is attached to a sidewall (1) at the opposite end to the bottom insertion flap (8, 8'), being adjacent to the top flap (6) and of the same size as the clear cross-section of the box. There are flaps (11-14) attached to all sides of the insert section so as to keep it at the desired distance from the top flap. The section acts as an automatic centering device having pairs of curved, involute or spiral pattern cuts symmetrically formed in it, so that pairs of radial adjacent cuts form strips of material.
