Interlocking fitting for strings of tennis racket comprises a body of rigid material, pref. acetal resin, polyamide resin or metal, which is placed between the strings at their point of intersection. The body has a pair of opposed grooves which extend in perpendicular directions to each other and each of which receives a section of a string. The depth of the grooves is such that the strings are completely embedded in them. On the inner surfaces of each groove are projections which become embedded in the string. Pref. each projection is dihedral, with an inclined edge which extends in a transverse plane relative to the axis of the groove and which is inclined relative to the longitudinal median plane of the groove, beginning at the bottom of the groove and ending halfway up along one of the two flanks of the groove. |
