Highly disperse condensation polymers of polyamino compounds and formaldehyde having a specific surface area of above 20 m<2>/g and a positive zeta potential at pH 3 to 5 are highly suitable as sorbents for removing tannins from juices or fermentation products of vegetable origin, such as beer. They impair neither flavour nor foam stability and are so cheap that they can be discarded after use since regeneration is not worthwhile. |
