<p>1487494 Sliders for sliding clasp fasteners YOSHIDA KOGYO KK 5 Feb 1975 [8 Feb 1974] 4882/75 Heading E2S A fastener slider comprises a body 11 having a pull tab 13 pivotally connected thereto and including a top wing 11, a bottom wing 12, side flanges and a centrally located web cooperating with the top and bottom wings to define a generally Y-shaped guide channel through the slider body, and a pair of guide members 17, 17 formed respectively by lateral extensions from only said bottom wing of the slider body. the lateral extensions being angled upwardly and projecting outwardly of the side flanges. As shown, fastener elements 16, Figs. 1, 2, are connected to one side only of each stringer tape 18, which is stitched at 19 to the garment 20, the opposed edges 21, 21 of which define the opening to which the sliding clasp fastener is applied. The guide members 17, 17 raise the outer edge portions of the stringer tapes 18 remote from the fastener elements out of the plane of their element-carrying front edges. The stringer tapes 18, Fig. 3 are attached to a garment at 19a to provide two pairs of abutting edges 21, 21 and 22, 22. The slider (10a). Fig. 4 not shown, may have two pull tabs, the guide members 17a are formed integral with side flanges (19) on the bottom wing (12a). the fastener elements (16a) being clamped to the edges of the respective tapes (18).</p> |
