<p>Plate heat exchanger has bundle of plates with passages between to permit heat exchange between two media. Between the two end plates is an elastic layer of sealing or adhesive material which serves to balance out uneven stresses in the bundle. The end plate of the bundle is perforated and the elastic layer is mounted between this and the final transfer plate of the bundle. The end structure occurs at both ends of the bundle. The perforated metal plate is rigidly mounted to the housing, e.g. by screws. The final plate of the bundle is thicker than the remaining plates. The elastic layer is completely hardened giving uniform elasticity.</p> |
