Amusement gaming device with vertical playing surface - uses balls which are catapulted to record scores by falling into scoring stations

This amusement game device has a housing (17) with a vertical playing surface (1). In the upper right hand corner is a coin slot (2). Above the playing surface is a score display (4). When a coin is inserted the ball display lights (14) are lit and the green start light (6) is lit. The starter button (6) is pressed and a ball (9) is released. By operating the handles (10, 10a) on the side casing catapult bars (7, 7a) send the ball up the playing surface to fall into the scoring stations. Each station has an electric contact which adds its score to the display (4). The scoring stations have kickers to kick the ball to another station or return it to the catapult bar. When the ball passes over the contact (24) in the central station (20) a red light (16) is lit and the divider (8) between the catapult bars is removed to allow the ball, if not re-catapulted to be lost.
