The cephalosporin derivatives of the formula I, in which the symbols have the meanings given in Claim 1, are novel antibiotics. They are prepared from 7-aminocephalosporanic acid, by acylation of the amino group and substitution of the acetoxy group by the corresponding substituted 5-mercaptotetrazole.
