Resilient profiled sealing strip for windows, e.g. windscreen or rear window of vehicle, comprises a lock seam defined by two side lips on one side and on the other side a groove for inserting the window pane. A strip of deformable sealing material is provided at least in one lock seam cavity existing between a lip and the bottom of the lock seam, so as to adhere to the wall of the profiled sealing strip. The device is mfd. by first extending the prefabricated profiled strip, being at least one of the side lips outwards, continuously applying the strip of deformable material to the open cavity under pressure, then releasing the lip. The device can be mounted in completely sealed relationship. |
