<p>Irrigator for potted plant comprises a sleeve-like cage which is inserted through an aperture in the bottom of the pot, and which completely surrounds a wicklike capillary insert immersed in water. Beneath the point at which the cage is connected to a support for cage and pot, is a cage extension which is immersed in the water which is contained in a receptacle. Pref. the connecting point between cage and support engages an aperture in the support, and includes a locking flange which engages behind this aperture, being pushed through it with pressure. The water receptacle may consist of a light-shielded through for holding several pot supports. The capillary insert which is pref. made of polyurethane foam can be mfd. in handy compact form, allowing reliable irrigation as long as sufficient water is present.</p> |
