Thick-walled disc-segmental plates are connected together by tensioning bolts using a carrier frame to form a prestressed composite cover for high press. vessels for use in the petrochemical and chemical industries and in plant and reactor technology. Accurate and rapid assembly of large covers can be carried out using small easily transportable components.
