The sliding roof provides solid or transparent covering for protection in unfavourable weather and allows opening in good weather. A horizontal frame above the area to be roofed holds a roof element, which is telescopically displaceable, and made up from part elements, able to slide on slide rails in lateral guide shaped-section units. Each element may be operated by a manually and/or motor driven continuous cable. An end section of a fixed part element may be screwed to a shaped element in the frame, attachable to a wall, while its other end section carries a stop plate with a projecting bottom section. |
