<p>Furnace comprises a vertical column mounted n an even no. of supports which also support vertical guides. A carriage of an electrode holder and a carriage of a mould move along the guides on rollers. Hoses of a cooling system. are connected to the mould and a mounting plate and extend into spaces between the supports. Current supply cables also extend into the spaces and are connected to the mounting plate. Used for producing high-grade metal ingots and alloys in ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy. The furnace has a more compact design. As the cables are the shortest possible length there is a reduction of losses in the low-voltage circuit, giving a redn. of power consumption.</p> |
