The road surface material spreader consists of a machine with a floating blade for pre-treating the material. The pre-treatment process is performed by a mobile plate hinged to the front of the table distributing the material in layers of varying thickness. The front end of the mobile plate is driven by a double-acting ram. The amount of material measured above the seating level of the table is adapted to the reduced amount for structuring the final layer with optimum homogeneity. The total pressure of the ram is restricted to the bottom amount of the weight of the table.
