<p>The toy is hand held and comprises a pair of spring loaded jaws. These hold a ball (20) on an elastic cord (19) and are released by a trigger (16). The ball is propelled outwards and must be recaught between the jaws on return. The jaws (3, 4) have a vee shape when assembled onto the handle, being pivoted (9) at their base. The end of the ball cord is attached (18) inside this base. A tension spring (6) is held on pegs (5, 7) and holds the jaws together. These are operated by links (8, 10) connected to the pegs and pivot; a further link (13) joins these to the trigger.</p> |
