Retainer for label roll - has pressure and hinged retainer elements resiliently pressed against roll core

The retainer is for a roll of labels. It has a main section, fastened to a part (7) of a labelling machine. The main section carries a pressure section with end surfaces which engage with the front face of the core (6) of a label roll (80). The retainer elements (3) are hinged to the main section, each having a retainer end. An elastic unit moves the retainer heads into contact with the roll core. A press button is positioned opposite to the retainer, to release the heads. During positioning of the roll, the main- and pressure sections more towards each other and the retainer heads engage with a fastening element of the label core.
