<p>The cap for a bottle holding pressurised contents has a deformable internal annular lip which is formed such that the internal pressure acts on the lip to maintain the seal of the cap. The internal wall of the skirt may include a further lip which is oriented to be supported on the annular joint region between the end face of the bottle neck and its outer wall. The cap also has a central internal skirt, and this may be provided with two lips on its external surface. These lips extend obliquely from the inner skirt and bear on the internal surface of the bottle neck.</p> |
